Safety & MotoSOS
Last updated: September 2026
Ribwoon does not call police, ambulance or fire services for you, and MotoSOS is not a replacement for national emergency numbers. If life is at risk, call your national emergency number directly first.
What MotoSOS does
- Records an alert with the type of emergency, your description and your location (if you choose to share it).
- Gives you one-tap calling to the emergency contacts you chose yourself.
- Never contacts anyone automatically — every call is made by you, from your phone.
Your location
- Location is only attached when you tap "Share my location".
- If you deny permission or your device cannot share location, you can type where you are instead — the alert still works.
Your emergency contacts
- Only you can see your emergency contacts. They are never shown to other riders, the public, or verification pages.
In an emergency
Call your national emergency number first, then use MotoSOS to alert your own contacts and record what happened.
